Impact monitoring of Forest Management in Cameroon
The impact monitoring of the Sector Program of Forest and Environment (PSFE) aims to determine the progress made by the PSFE in four different inter-linked areas : forest management, evolution of natural resources, governance and poverty dynamics . Decision makers and the interested public can use the tools to inform themselves on the status and change of each indicator. This should feed into eventual adjustments of policies and activities according to the objectives of the PSFE.Read more...
Web Atlas
Our
Web Atlas displays the results of impact monitoring in its spatial dimension.
A variety of data on the forest concessions and protected areas of Cameroon, as well as data on hunting activities in the managed hunting zones, are available. Comparing data over a series of years allows for an interpretation of the change that has occurred over time. Furthermore, the Atlas allows overlays of data on high resolution satellite imagery provided by Google®. The possibility to adjust the transparency of overlays gives the opportunity to check the vegetation cover within each spatial entity. In addition, the Atlas gives users the possibility to upload, create, modify and save their own vector data in the web browser in shape, MapInfo or KML format. You can thereby verify and produce your own data.
